Running Up For Air (aka RUFA) is an endurance mountain challenge that was created to raise money in support of the fight for improved air quality for those who live along the Wasatch Front. The Up For Air Series unites our community over a shared passion for running and a desire to drive real, lasting change in the fight for cleaner air. Through endurance events and strategic partnerships, every vertical foot run and every hour volunteered multiplies support for nonprofits dedicated to air quality solutions, turning even small donations into greater impact. We tread lightly on the trails while standing firm in our commitment to a healthier planet and cleaner air for all. Working for clean air is an endurance sport.
Caroline Louise Gleich is an American environmentalist, skier, and mountaineer. Gleich advocates for environmental justice and climate reform. Some of her work was cited by Protect Our Winters. She is a supporter of the American Public Lands and Waters Climate Solution Act of 2019, and testified in front of Congress in support of the bill.
In 2002, Utahns for an Energy Efficient Economy incorporated as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and changed its name to Utah Clean Energy. Utah Clean Energy leads and accelerates the clean energy transformation with vision and expertise. They are committed to creating a future that ensures healthy, thriving communities for all, empowered and sustained by clean energy.
The Rural Utah Project and O₂ Utah are now Stewardship Utah! Our new group is a true blend of O₂ Utah’s expertise in elections and policy in the urban corridor with the Rural Utah Project’s extensive experience organizing and registering voters in rural parts of the state — creating a comprehensive environmental and democratic effort representing all of Utah. Stewardship Utah works to protect the land, air, and water for all people in Utah through elections, policy, and democracy.
For 25 years, HEAL Utah has been at the forefront of environmental advocacy, policy change, and community engagement.
